1951 Pegaso Z102 Berlinetta Enasa

Chassis number: 0102.153.0113
Engine number: 0102.017.0113

Named after “Pegasus”, the mythical winged horse, the striking Spanish built Pegaso sports-car emerged at the 1951 Paris Salon, powered by a four-cam V 8 engine. Manufactured by “Empresa Nacional de Autocamiones S.A.” (E.N.A.S.A), they were responsible for building Pegasos from the early to mid-Fifties. Only around 80 cars were ever produced.

This example carries factory ENASA Berlinetta coachwork and was entered into the 1952 Monaco Sports-car race driven by Juan Jover, but failed to qualify. In 1953, it became an experimental car to test supercharging, which became a common feature on several Pegasos.

In later years, the Z102 was an important part of the prominent collection of the Late Tom Mittler, who had a full restoration carried out and showed the car at Pebble Beach in 1994, where it was awarded 1st in Class.

The current owner has had the Pegaso in his collection for some 10 years, the car has been used sparingly and is ready to be enjoyed in many of the high profile road and rally events worldwide, as well as a suitable entry for the prestigious Concours d’elegance scene.
