Looking at the spec sheet on this 1931 Chevrolet, it’s hard not be amazed by the sheer number of impressive updates. Work began on the outside where an original body has been massaged and updated with shaved door handles, hood louvers, and running boards that have been widened and smoothed to accommodate the side-exit exhaust. The finished product was sprayed with a bright red basecoat followed by multi-layer yellow and orange graphics. Topped off with plenty of period correct pieces, the car has a unique look sure to stand out in any crowd. Under that split hood, power is provided by a modern GM LS6 V8 which produces over 400hp without any aftermarket assistance. The firewall has been modified and smoothed for clearance purposes while details like stainless lines, aluminum brackets, and a polished throttle body offer worthy surroundings for the LS motor. Shifting duties are handled by a GM 4-speed automatic transmission which spins power back to a Ford 8-inch rear end. The car is supported by pieces like painted tubular arms and a 4-link that work in harmony with a four-wheel air ride setup to alter ride height on the fly. Braking comes courtesy of four-wheel power disc brakes while steering is comfortable thanks to a manual rack. Inside, a fully custom tan leather interior offers digital gauges, digital air ride control, digital air/heat controls, and a Pioneer stereo which sends signal to speakers throughout the passenger compartment and trunk.
