One Of The Fastest In 84

RUF BTR

From 1983 to 1989, Ruf Automobile GmbH in Pfaffenhausen (district of Unterallgäu, Germany) converted regular 911 Porsches to a RUF-special called BTR.

The vehicles had a 3.4-liter engine with a turbo putting out 374hp and a five-speed gearbox that was developed in-house to manage the car’s high torque while Porsche only offered only four-speed gearboxes. In 1984, the RUF BTR on the test ground Ehra-Lessien crossed the 300 km / h limit in a World’s Fastest Cars comparison.
