In 1963, Aston Martin introduced its new model, the DB 5 with a Touring body in Milan. It was considered a successful synthesis of British technique and Italian style. The Coupé variant played in many James Bond films and is considered the most famous car in the world. In small series the DB 5 was built as a Convertible.

This DB 5 was first delivered by Aston Martin dealer C. Sidney in England in march 1965. After having changed the owner four more times within England the vehicle was bought by the famous German collector Robert Leyba in 1987. Leyba at that time had the largest Aston Martin collection in Europe. In cooperation with the renowned specialist workshop “Beat Roos” in Switzerland, the car has been completely restored according to the available documentation and today presents itself in near mint condition.

4 lt. capacity, ca. 286 hp, ca. 230 km/h (factory data)
Only 123 examples of the DB 5 Convertible were built, 84 of them as RHD.
